The winds of the NY Phil join in works by Janáček and Stravinsky, followed by the original jazz band version of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, which the composer described as a “musical kaleidoscope of America.”

Pianist Yuja Wang is celebrated for her charismatic artistry, emotional honesty, and captivating stage presence. She has performed with the world’s most venerated conductors, musicians, and ensembles, and is renowned not only for her virtuosity, but her spontaneous and lively performances. She has been named The Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence of the New York Philharmonic for the 2024–25 season, performing with the Orchestra, including in concerts conducted by Gustavo Dudamel, and in concerts in which she leads from the piano.
