Music Director Alan Gilbert makes his Philharmonic narrating debut with this performance of Britten's The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, led by Assistant Conductor Joshua Weilerstein, at a full family concert in Tokyo's Suntory Hall. He is doing so in Japanese, the language of the audience and of his mother, Philharmonic violinist Yoko Takebe.
