Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct The Metropolitan Opera's Don Giovanni next season, The Met announced on February 12. Peter Mattei will sing the title role.

In 2008 Mr. Gilbert led John Adams's Dr. Atomic at The Met. In 2012 the DVD won the Grammy for Best Opera Recording.
