Education

Many of our volunteers enjoy working directly with the thousands of children and young adults who take advantage of the Philharmonic’s renowned education programs. If you are upbeat and have lots of extra energy, consider volunteering in this area! As a member of the Volunteer Council’s Education Committee, you’ll take part in some or all of the following activities:

• Assist with this one-hour, interactive music fair before Young People's Concerts® which occur on four Saturdays during the concert season.

• Help coordinate, on selected mornings, school groups of 4th to 6th graders who visit the Philharmonic during Open Rehearsals on selected mornings.

• Perform various duties before and after these concerts held in Merkin Hall.

• Assist at various educational seminars and forums which take place throughout the season.
