We're Celebrating the "Mahler Year" ...and we have a gift for you!

Perhaps no orchestra feels closer to Gustav Mahler than the New York Philharmonic.

This season we simultaneously commemorate the 150th anniversary of Mahler’s birth and the 100th anniversary of his death and final New York Philharmonic season as Music Director.

The New York Philharmonic's Archives contain a wealth of materials related to the great conductor-composer, from his own hand-marked First Symphony score to photos, clippings and personal correspondence.

Our goal: to raise $250,000 this year – the "Mahler Year" – to make certain that our precious Mahler collection is maintained and preserved in the Philharmonic’s Archives now, and for generations to come.

To thank you for your gift of $250 or more to the Mahler Collection Preservation Fund, we'll send you a limited-edition CD: The New York Philharmonic performing Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 in D major and include your name in a special recognition section on our website to certify that your support helped us to reach our goal.

For a generous gift of $500 or more, you’ll be invited, with a guest, to a viewing of the Mahler collection with Archivist and Historian, Barbara Haws. Thank you for your support!
