Hailed by the New York Times, as "a major artist" following her New York recital debut in 1975, Nancy Allen joined the New York Philharmonic in June of 1999 as Principal Harpist. She maintains a busy international concert schedule as well as heading the harp departments of The Juilliard School, Yale School of Music, and the Aspen Music Festival and School and teaching at Stony Brook University. In addition, Ms. Allen appears regularly with The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. In May 2000, Ms. Allen was featured in the Philharmonic’s United States premiere of Siegfried Matthus’ Concerto for Flute, Harp and Orchestra, with Music Director Kurt Masur and Principal Flute Robert Langevin.

Ms. Allen’s busy performing schedule includes solo appearances at major international festivals, and has featured collaborations with soprano Kathleen Battle, clarinetist Richard Stoltzman, guitarist Manuel Barrueco, and flutist Carol Wincenc. She has appeared on PBS’ Live From Lincoln Center with The Chamber Music Society, as well as with Ms. Battle, and has performed as a recitalist for "Music at the Supreme Court" in Washington, D.C. Ms. Allen’s recording of Ravel's Introduction and Allegro with the Tokyo Quartet, flutist Ransom Wilson, and clarinetist David Shifrin received a Grammy Award nomination; she can also be heard on Sony Classical, Deutsche Grammophon, and CRI.

Ms. Allen is a native of New York, where she studied with Pearl Chertok and undertook private studies on piano and oboe. The summer of 1972 took her to Paris, where she studied with Lily Laskine. During that same year, she entered The Juilliard School to study with Marcel Grandjany. In 1973, Ms. Allen won the Fifth International Harp Competition, in Israel, and was later awarded a National Endowment for the Arts Solo Recitalist Award.

A teacher for more than 20 years, Ms. Allen's students hold positions in prominent orchestras around the world. She currently resides in New York with her daughter, Claire, who studies piano and cello.

Michael Barrett is associate artistic director of the New York Festival of Song (NYFOS), which he started in 1988 with Steven Blier. He was chief executive and general director of the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts (2003–12); co-founded the Moab Music Festival in 1992 with his wife, violist Leslie Tomkins; and was the director of the Tisch Center for the Arts at the 92nd Street Y (1994–97). A protégé of Leonard Bernstein, Mr. Barrett began his long association with him as a student in 1982; he is currently artistic advisor for the Bernstein estate. He guest conducted the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, New York Philharmonic, London Symphony, Israel Philharmonic, and the Orchestre National de France, among others. He also has served variously as conductor, producer, and music director of numerous special projects, including dozens of world premieres by Bernstein, Musto, Bolcom, Rorem, and D’Rivera. His discography includes Spanish Love Songs with Lorraine Hunt Lieberson, Steven Blier, and Joseph Kaiser; Live from the Moab Music Festival; Evidence of Things Not Seen; Aaron Kernis: 100 Greatest Dance Hits; On the Town; Stewart Wallace and Michael Korie’s Kaballah; Schumann Lieder with Lorraine Hunt and Kurt Ollmann; and Arias and Barcarolles by Leonard Bernstein (Grammy Award).

American pianist Steven Beck was born in 1978. He is a graduate of the Juilliard School, where his teachers were Seymour Lipkin, Peter Serkin and Bruce Brubaker.

Mr. Beck made his debut with the National Symphony Orchestra, and has toured Japan as soloist with the New York Symphonic Ensemble. Other orchestras with which he has appeared include the New Juilliard Ensemble (under David Robertson), Sequitur, the Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players, and the Virginia Symphony.

Mr. Beck has performed as soloist and chamber musician at the Kennedy Center, Alice Tully Hall, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Miller Theater, Steinway Hall, Tonic, and Barbes, as well as on the New York Philharmonic Ensembles Series and WNYC; summer appearances have been at the Aspen Music Festival, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, the Greenwich Music Festival, the Woodstock Mozart Festival, and the Wellesley Composers' Conference. He is an Artist Presenter and regular performer at Bargemusic (where he recently performed all of the Beethoven piano sonatas), performs frequently as a musician with the Mark Morris Dance Group, and has performed with the New York City Ballet. He has worked with Elliott Carter, Henri Dutilleux, George Perle, and Charles Wuorinen, and has appeared with ensembles such as Speculum Musicae, the Da Capo Chamber Players, the Manhattan String Quartet, the Pacifica String Quartet, The Metropolis Ensemble, New York Philomusica, the New York New Music Ensemble, Mosaic, the Lyric Chamber Music Society, the Omega Ensemble, Ensemble Sospeso, the Orchestra of the S.E.M. Ensemble, Counterinduction, the American Contemporary Music Ensemble, the East Coast Composers' Ensemble, the Fountain Ensemble, Friends and Enemies of New Music, Lost Dog, and Antisocial Music. George Curran became the bass trombonist of the New York Philharmonic in June 2013 after serving in that role with the Orchestra during the 2012–13 season. Previously, he was a member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for five years and a fellow with the New World Symphony. He has also performed with the major orchestras of Cincinnati, Detroit, Colorado, North Carolina, and Alabama.

In 2010 he performed with the Atlanta Trombone Project on a recording titled Roadwork. This project resulted in the formation of the Southeast Trombone Symposium, a week-long summer workshop at Columbus State University (CSU) where college students are coached by members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra trombone section. Mr. Curran was a soloist on a recently released recording titled A Beautiful Noise, which features prominent trombone soloists performing with the CSU Trombone Choir, including Philharmonic Principal Trombone Joseph Alessi. Mr. Curran has also performed concertos with the U.S. Army Band at the Eastern Trombone Workshop, Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra, and many college ensembles.

A native of Farmington Hills, Michigan, George Curran received his bachelor’s degree in music education from Central Michigan University and a master’s degree in performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. His principal teachers have included John Rojak and Peter Norton.

Percussionist Daniel Druckman is active as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician, and recording artist, concertizing throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. He has appeared as soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the American Composer’s Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic’s Horizons concerts, the San Francisco Symphony’s "New and Unusual Music Series," and in recital in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Tokyo. He has been a member of the New York Philharmonic since 1991, where he serves as Associate Principal Percussionist, and has made numerous guest appearances with The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Da Capo Chamber Players, the American Brass Quintet, the Group for Contemporary Music, Orpheus, Steve Reich and Musicians, and the Philip Glass Ensemble. Mr. Druckman has also participated in chamber music festivals at Santa Fe, Ravinia, Saratoga, Caramoor, Bridgehampton, Tanglewood, and Aspen.

An integral part of New York’s new music community, both as soloist and as a member of the New York New Music Ensemble and Speculum Musicae, Mr. Druckman has premiered works by Milton Babbitt, Elliott Carter, Jacob Druckman, Aaron Jay Kernis, Oliver Knussen, Poul Ruders, Joseph Schwantner, Ralph Shapey, and Charles Wuorinen, among many others. Recent appearances include collaborations with Alan Feinberg at Dartmouth College, with Fred Sherry at BargeMusic, with Dawn Upshaw at Carnegie Hall, and solo concerts at Columbia University’s Miller Theatre and Merkin Concert Hall in New York. Recent solo recordings include Elliott Carter’s Eight Pieces for Four Timpani on Bridge Records and Jacob Druckman’s Reflections on the Nature of Water on Koch International. Mr. Druckman is a faculty member of The Juilliard School, where he serves as chairman of the percussion department and director of the percussion ensemble.

Daniel Druckman was born and raised in New York City. The son of composer Jacob Druckman, he had invaluable exposure to music and musicians at an early age. He attended The Juilliard School, where he was awarded the Morris A. Goldenberg Memorial Scholarship and the Saul Goodman Scholarship, receiving both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music in 1980. Additional studies were undertaken at the Berkshire Music Center at Tanglewood, where he was awarded the Henry Cabot Award for outstanding instrumentalist.

Violinist Quan Ge joined the New York Philharmonic in June 2009. She holds a bachelor's degree from The Curtis Institute of Music, where she worked with Yumi Scott, Ida Kavafian, and Jaime Laredo, and a master's degree from The Juilliard School, where she studied with David Chan. A native of Huai Nan, China, Ms. Ge was the recipient of a Fu Chen Xian Scholarship, and has won top prizes in both the China National Competition and the Jeunesses Music Competition (Romania). While a student at Curtis, she played as a substitute with The Philadelphia Orchestra. Ms. Ge is an active chamber musician and recitalist, and most recently worked with pianist Robert McDonald and the Borromeo String Quartet at the Taos School of Music in 2008.

Pianist Eric Huebner joined the roster of the New York Philharmonic in January 2012. A native of Los Angeles, he is a graduate of The Juilliard School, where he studied with Jerome Lowenthal, and has been a guest pianist with the Philharmonic since 2004. Mr. Huebner has been featured in orchestral works by Stravinsky, Ives, R. Strauss, and Milhaud, among others.

In June 2012 he will perform as soloist with Musicians from the Philharmonic in the World Premiere of Elliott Carter’s Two Controversies and a Conversation — a double concerto for piano and percussion with percussionist Colin Currie — on the CONTACT! program, conducted by David Robertson.

An active soloist and chamber musician, Mr. Huebner has twice been a featured recitalist at the Ojai Festival in California. He has also appeared on the Monday Evening Concerts and Piano Spheres series in Los Angeles in addition to solo appearances at the Carlsbad Music Festival, Miller Theater and (le) Poisson Rouge. He has performed at Zankel Hall as soloist in Ligeti’s Piano Concerto and at Alice Tully Hall in Messiaen’s Oiseaux Exotiques, both conducted by David Robertson. Since 2001 Mr. Huebner has been a member of Antares, a quartet comprising clarinet, violin, cello, and piano. A first-prize winner of the 2002 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, Antares has performed in major chamber music venues throughout the United States.

Eric Huebner is currently assistant professor of piano at the University at Buffalo, where he maintains an active piano studio and performs as part of the Slee Sinfonietta. He has recorded a wide variety of solo piano and chamber music for the Col Legno, Centaur, Bridge, Albany, Tzadik, Innova, New Focus Recordings, and Mode Records labels.

Mindy Kaufman, The Edward and Priscilla Pilcher Chair, joined the New York Philharmonic as flute and piccolo in 1979 at the age of 22, after performing for three seasons with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. She received a bachelor of music degree from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Walfrid Kujala, Bonita Boyd, and James Galway.

Ms. Kaufman has appeared as a soloist with the New York Philharmonic under the direction of former Music Directors Zubin Mehta, Kurt Masur, and Lorin Maazel. For one season she substituted as principal flute with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. Kaufman performs chamber music regularly with her colleagues in the New York Philharmonic Ensembles, and has performed at the Moab Music Festival, Mt. Desert Festival of Chamber Music, and Grand Teton Music Festival.

In September 2014, Ms. Kaufman was invited to teach in the inaugural two weeks of the Shanghai Orchestra Academy, created through a New York Philharmonic Global Academy partnership with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, in collaboration with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She previously taught at Columbia University and Mannes Prep. Mindy Kaufman has been a featured artist at the Japan Flute Convention and the National Flute Convention. A sought-after commercial musician, she has performed on more than 45 film sound tracks.

Lisa GiHae Kim joined the New York Philharmonic's violin section in February, 2003. As a soloist, Ms. Kim has appeared with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of St. John's Smith Square (under the direction of Lord Yehudi Menuhin), Santa Cruz Symphony Orchestra, San Angelo Symphony, Flint Symphony Orchestra, and other ensembles.

An active chamber musician, Ms. Kim has participated in the Taos Chamber Music Festival, and the Aspen and Sarasota music festivals, and has toured with the American Chamber Players and the International Sejong Soloists.

Ms. Kim was awarded the top prize in the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition, the Irving M. Klein International String Competition, and the Kingsville International Young Performer’s Competition. As a Presidential Scholar, Ms. Kim performed in recital at the Kennedy Center.

Sumire Kudo joined the Philharmonic as a cellist in June 2006. Previously she taught at Indiana University–South Bend and was the cellist of the Avalon String Quartet. Born in Tokyo, Japan, Ms. Kudo began cello studies at age four with her father, cellist Akiyoshi Kudo. She came to the United States in 2000, after establishing herself in her native country through solo performances and recordings. Her honors include the Hideo Saito Memorial Fund Award, which she received from the Sony Music Foundation after being chosen by Seiji Ozawa and Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi as the most promising cellist in 2005, and prizes at the Sapporo Junior Cello Competition and 62nd Japan Music Competition. Ms. Kudo is a graduate of Tokyo’s Toho School and The Juilliard School. She has participated in the Nagano-Aspen Music, Aspen Music, Santa Fe, and Marlboro Music festivals. Record Geijutsu, Japan’s leading classical music magazine, named her second solo CD, Love of Beauty, Best Recording.

Making his fourth appearance in New York Philharmonic presentations, American conductor Jeffrey Milarsky is acclaimed worldwide for his impeccable musicianship, exhilarating presence, and innovative programming. His repertoire ranges from J.S. Bach to Xenakis. In recent seasons he has worked with ensembles including the San Francisco Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, MET Chamber Ensemble, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, New World Symphony, and Tanglewood Festival Orchestra. Mr. Milarsky has a long history of premiering, recording, and performing works by American composers, reflected in his recently receiving the prestigious Ditson Conductor’s Award, which was established in 1945 and is the oldest award honoring conductors for their commitment to the performance of American music (with past honorees including Leonard Bernstein, Leopold Stokowski, Alan Gilbert, and James Levine). A dedicated teacher, Jeffrey Milarsky is a senior lecturer in music at Columbia University, where he is the music director and conductor of the Columbia University Orchestra. In addition to conducting the Juilliard Orchestra, he is the music director of AXIOM, The Juilliard School’s critically acclaimed contemporary music ensemble, and serves on the conducting faculty. Jeffrey Milarsky first worked with New York Philharmonic musicians on the Ensembles series at Merkin Concert Hall, when he led Jacob Druckman’s Dark Upon the Harp on February 15, 1998; his most recent Philharmonic collaboration was conducting works by Zosha Di Castri and Steven Mackey on the CONTACT! concert at National Sawdust on January 23, 2017.

Matthew Muckey joined the Philharmonic in June 2006. He graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor’s degree in music, studying with Charles Geyer and Barbara Butler. A native of Sacramento, California, he has appeared as soloist with the Omaha Symphony, Sacramento Philharmonic, California Wind Orchestra, Northwestern University Symphony Orchestra, and on NPR’s program, From the Top. He has also played with the Boston Pops Orchestra, New World Symphony, and Chicago Civic Orchestra.

Mr. Muckey was a Fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center during the summers of 2003 to 2005, and was the recipient of the Roger Voisin Award in 2004 and 2005.

He was the soloist in Donatoni&rsquo;s <em>Hot</em> for the Philharmonic&rsquo;s <em>CONTACT!</em> series, and has appeared as soloist with the Greenwich Symphony, Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, Metamorphosis Orchestra, the S.E.M. Ensemble, and Hanover Winds. Winner of the 2004 Olga Koussevitzky competition, he has performed for: the Lincoln Center Festival, Mostly Mozart Festival, <em>soundScape</em> festival (Macagno, Italy), Absolute Ensemble, I.C.E., Argento Ensemble, American Composers Alliance, Composer Concordance, Wet Ink, and North-South Consonance. Mr. Ruedeman has also performed with rock and pop legends Todd Rundgren, M. Ward, David Foster, Christopher Cross, Lou Gramm of Foreigner, Denny Laine of Wings, and The Walkmen, and has appeared on <em>The Late Show with David Letterman</em> and <em>Live with Michael and Kelly.</em> Mr. Ruedeman serves on the faculty of New York University, Long Island University&ndash;Post, William Paterson University, and has served as visiting faculty at Oberlin Conservatory of Music.</p>

Flutist Yoobin Son was the first Korean to join the New York Philharmonic’s wind section when she became a member of the Orchestra in November 2012. She has served as the principal flute of the Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra and principal flute of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. Son has performed as a soloist with ensembles including the New Haven, New Jersey, Florida, William Paterson University, and Korean symphony orchestras, and the Prime and Seoul Philharmonic orchestras. She has appeared in recital throughout the United States, among them the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts in Chicago, as well as on the Young Artist Series of the Kumho Asiana Cultural Foundation in Seoul, South Korea.

A dedicated chamber musician, Ms. Son has participated at festivals including the Marlboro Music Festival and Music from Angel Fire. She is an alumna of Carnegie Hall’s The Academy, where she was an active performer in the acclaimed Ensemble ACJW. As part of the Academy’s fellowship program, Ms. Son was a teaching artist at P.S. 207K in Brooklyn.

She has received honors including the Grand Prize at the Florida Orchestra Young Artist Competition, First Prize at the National Flute Association Soloist Competition, Second Prize at the Koussevitzky International Winds Competition, and the Conductor’s Award at the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Auditions.

Yoobin Son received her bachelor of music degree from The Curtis Institute of Music, master’s degree from Yale University, and professional studies and artist diploma from the Manhattan School of Music. Her principal teachers have included Robert Langevin, Ransom Wilson, Jeffrey Khaner, and Bradley Garner.

Colin Williams joined the New York Philharmonic as Associate Principal Trombone in September 2014. He previously served as principal trombone of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, for 12 seasons, and principal trombone of the San Antonio Symphony, for three seasons. He has also performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra (of Washington, D.C.), and Houston Symphony.

Mr. Williams made his solo debut with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in 2003 performing Paul Creston’s Fantasy for Trombone. He has been a guest soloist with the San Antonio Symphony, U.S. Army Band (Pershing’s Own), U.S. Military Academy Band, Georgia Brass Band, Atlanta Wind Ensemble, Juilliard Orchestra, and James Madison University Brass Band. He has also appeared as a soloist at the Eastern Trombone Workshop and the International Trombone Festival.

Also active as a chamber musician, Colin Williams has participated in numerous festivals, including the Saito Kinen Festival Orchestra under Seiji Ozawa in Matsumoto, Japan; Grand Teton Music Festival; and Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival. He has also performed with the Chicago Chamber Musicians.

Mr. Williams’s first solo CD, Roadwork, is a collaboration with his former Atlanta Symphony Orchestra colleagues Bill Thomas and George Curran. Together with Bradley Palmer at Columbus State University, the four musicians founded the Southeast Trombone Symposium in 2010: through his continuing work with the Symposium Mr. Williams has helped to educate hundreds of young trombonists.

During his high school years Colin Williams studied with Douglass Wright. He continued his education at Manhattan School of Music and The Juilliard School, where his primary teachers included Philharmonic Principal Trombone Joseph Alessi and Philharmonic trombonist David Finlayson. He is an alumnus of the Music Academy of the West, now a partner in the New York Philharmonic Global Academy.

Kyle Zerna joined the New York Philharmonic in September 2010. Previously, he was in the master’s degree program at the Manhattan School of Music, where he completed his bachelor’s degree under the tutelage of Duncan Patton and New York Philharmonic Principal Percussion Christopher S. Lamb. He has performed with numerous orchestras, including the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, Princeton Symphony, and New World Symphony. An avid performer of 20th-century and new music, he has collaborated with composers Charles Wuorinen, David Lang, Kevin Volans, and Elliott Carter, and performed two timpani solos for Mr. Carter’s centennial birthday celebration.

Mr. Zerna was a Fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center for two consecutive years, performing with conductors such as James Levine, Bernard Haitink, and Sir Andrew Davis. He has also performed frequently as principal timpanist with the Britten-Pears Young Artists Programme in Aldeburgh, England, and has recorded with The Metropolitan Opera brass section.

Associate Principal Bass Max Zeugner, The Herbert M. Citrin Chair, joined the New York Philharmonic in September 2012. Originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, he started studying classical guitar before transitioning to electric bass and finally to double bass and received lessons from the Joy of Music Program and Burncoat High School’s Music Magnet Program. After attending a summer chamber music workshop at the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music in Nelson, New Hampshire, he shifted his focus from jazz to classical. He began taking lessons at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School with bassist Deborah Dunham and studied with Richard Hartshorne. He joined youth orchestras in Boston and in 2001 he was runner up at the Boston Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Competition. He went on to become a scholarship student of New York Philharmonic bassist Orin O’Brien at The Juilliard School and Edwin Barker at Boston University’s College of Fine Arts, where he won the 2005 Concerto Competition.

Mr. Zeugner has performed chamber music extensively in the United States, Europe, South America, and the Far East. He has twice been a guest artist with the Boston Chamber Music Society and has performed with pianist David Deveau on Bank of America’s Celebrity Series at Jordan Hall in Boston. He has performed, recorded, and toured with the Apple Hill Chamber Players and has been on their Summer Chamber Music Faculty since 2006. He is a founding member of the Worcester Chamber Music Society; gave a performance of Mozart’s Per questa bella mano with bass-baritone Daniel Gross at the Elbereth Chamber Music Series in New York City; and performed with the Providence Quartet, Apple Hill String Quartet, and Quartet X and artists including Thomas Zehetmair, Ian Bostridge, Andrew Manze, and Gordon Nicolich. As a soloist, Mr. Zeugner performs frequently with his wife, pianist/fortepianist Yi-heng Yang, and they have concertized on the United States’ East and West Coasts and in Europe. In the non-classical realm, he is a former member of the Eastern Jazz Project, Charles Ketter Quartet, and Delfino Brothers Duo and has performed with such artists as Joanna Newsom, Kelly Polar, and the Pet Shop Boys.

When he was 22, Mr. Zeugner was appointed section leader (i.e. principal) double bass of the Northern Sinfonia. The following year he was offered a trial as principal double bass with the London Symphony Orchestra, which included concerts in London, Spain, and Ireland as well as recording and education work. In 2010, following a brief stint with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, Mr. Zeugner was appointed principal double bass with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra in Manchester, England; while in England he recorded for the Avie Classics, NMC, Naxos, Chandos, Teldec, and LSO Live labels.

Mr. Zeugner has served on the faculties of the Royal Northern College of Music, Newcastle University, and The Sage Gateshead Weekend School and has coached the double bass sections of Britain’s Young Sinfonia and National Youth Orchestra and the Durham University Orchestra. In August 2008 he made his debut as a conductor leading the Darlington Youth Orchestra at the Edinburgh Festival. He continues to work as a music educator at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music.

Bass clarinetist Amy Zoloto joined the New York Philharmonic in June 2016. Previously, she was the bass clarinet / utility clarinet of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (2014–16), played as a substitute with the New York Philharmonic (2009–14), and was a member of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra.

Amy Zoloto has performed and toured with The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, and American Symphony Orchestra. She has participated in the Bard Music Festival, Colorado Music Festival, and Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan.

As a chamber musician, Ms. Zoloto has appeared in New York Philharmonic Ensembles chamber series, was a member of the Sylvan Winds, and toured Europe with the Jeunesse Musicale Wind Quintet. As a teacher, she has conducted master classes at the Manhattan School of Music, coached the New York Youth Symphony, and was an adjunct professor at University of Florida.

A Chicago native, Ms. Zoloto is a graduate of DePaul University, where she studied with Larry Combs, retired principal clarinet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and performed for two years with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. She completed further studies with Frank Kowalsky. She is a Buffet Crampon USA performing artist.
